Global Look at Cultural Diversity and the Environment
In February 2005 Australia's peak multicultural body, the Federation of Ethnic Communities' Councils of Australia (FECCA) hosted Transformations, an international conference exploring trends in cultural diversity, the environment and sustainable development.
UNESCO, the Australian National University, the Australian Local Government Association and the Planning Institute of Australia co-hosted the Conference which drew over 300 government, business, academic, Indigenous and community representatives from Australia and overseas.
Maine Street Marketing supported FECCA by liaising with co-convening organizations, making arrangements for local and international speakers, arranging media coverage, promotions and sponsorships and helping with keynote events such as a National Archives of Australia product launch.
Coordination of all these events was substantial…. Throughout it all Mr Crawshaw (CEO of Maine Street Marketing) proved himself to be extremely reliable, always meticulously and professionally groomed, patient, diplomatic and extremely courteous (despite some very tense situations), well organized and prepared to take on any tasks from the menial, the dull to the highly complex and demanding.
Throughout the event, Mr Crawshaw remained constantly good natured, grounded in the pragmatic and focused on finding the simplest solutions to complex problems.
If it had not been for Mr Crawshaw's dedication and hard work, Transformations would never have happened.
